From 1991-2007 I was a member of St Mary Magdalene Church an Anglican church serving the parish of Stoke Bishop, Bristol. I was a licensed Reader for the parish although most of my ministry was in WEMTC.
Bible Studies
As part of my ministry at St Mary's I wrote in 2002 and 2003 a series of House Groups studies, portions of which are placed here. St Mary's ran a monthly House Group system involving 3 studies per term. As a result the studies are broader and more superficial than is perhaps ideal. Dividing the studies up and spreading them over a longer period is recommended. I am happy for other bible study groups to download* and use this material (which is not fully complete) but I am not able to offer any support. The studies are best used as a launching pad for devising your own studies. The studies were:
Mark's Gospel - studies for September, October, November 2003
Revelation - studies for May, June, July 2003.
Corinthians - studies for January, February, March 2003
Amos - studies for September, October, November 2002
These studies have been influenced by 2 books:
Weber, Hans-Reudi Experiments in Bible Study WCC
Wink, Walter Transforming Bible Studies
Old Testament Courses
I have available and, time permitting, am happy to run a 4 or 5 week Introduction to the Old Testament Course for churches in Bristol. This has been run several times as a study course for around 12 people per session at St Mary Magdalene Stoke Bishop and once as a Lent Course for 20 at St Mary's Shirehampton.

St Margaret of Antioch, Durham
Since moving to Crossgate at Easter 2008 I have joined St Margaret of Antioch Church,
an ancient church, that has the advantage of being directly opposite my front door
(so of course I am always last to arrive). So far I have managed to keep a low profile,
but its a small congregation so its only a matter of time....
